ProxmoxVE - Turn off laptop screen#

Problem#

I have a couple of ProxmoxVE servers running on old laptops and I noticed that the screen never turns off.

Solution#

The solution is to leverage the consoleblank kernel command line flag:

• Edit /etc/kernel/cmdline
• Append consoleblank=60 to the end of the line
• Run proxmox-boot-tool refresh
• Reboot
